Exhibition of Paintings by amateur artists from Ukraine

Donegal Intercultural Platform has teamed up with the Ukrainian advocacy group Ukrainian Community Support for Culture Night to present an art exhibition that beautifully illustrates the universal language of human experiences. The hub's doors will be open to all, offering a self-service station for tea and coffee. Listen to world music and explore the stories behind the exhibition's 38 images, skilfully painted by amateur Ukrainian artists.

The works of art being exhibited on Culture Night emerged from a therapeutic art class guided by Donegal artist Aileen Kelly. Hailing from Ukraine, the artists, most of whom were new to painting, poured their souls into each piece. From nostalgia and depictions of homeland to messages of positivity, and glimpses of conflict, the artworks speak volumes of the power of art to connect hearts and weave stories of shared humanity.
