Description:

Coracle is a small publishing press directed by writer and artist Erica Van Horn and poet, artist and editor Simon Cutts, based in rural South Tipperary since 1996. Through an extensive archive of their books and ephemera, this exhibition will explore the influence of Coracle on artist-led-publishing, the development of the artist book, and the book as art object.

Accompanying the exhibition will be a newly commissioned text by Dr. Julie Bates as well as a series of talks related to Coracle’s work and artist-led-publishing.

Exhibition runs 12th Sept – 24th October. The gallery is open late on Culture Night.

South Tipperary Arts Centre is situated in a beautiful, light-filled Modernist building on Nelson Street, Clonmel. It is wheelchair accessible on the ground floor, with touch-free automatic doors, into the main gallery space; chair lift & accessible toilet on the ground floor. We are happy to accommodate Guide and Service dogs.

· The gallery is generally very quiet.

· The doors into the main gallery space feature a no-touch sensor – wave your hand infront and they open outwards towards the front door although assistance may be required at the main entrance.
