Graphic Studio Gallery presents Episodes in the Obscure, a new solo exhibition of large-scale work by Niall Naessens, generously sponsored by IPUT Real Estate Dublin. Meet the Artist from 18:00–19:00 for an opportunity to hear directly from Naessens about the inspiration and ideas behind the exhibition.

Living in rural Kerry, where the night sky remains largely untouched by light pollution, Naessens draws inspiration from the clarity of the Milky Way and constellations overhead. Many works are set along quiet mountain roads and the Kerry coastline, referencing specific places he encounters on his journeys and walks.

Blending observation with memory and invention, Naessens’ new works describe “incidents around the periphery of the night”, creating atmospheric and enigmatic landscapes that sit between the familiar and the imagined.
