Description:
EDENDERRY TREE TRAIL - Rian Crann Éadan Doire
Time: 7.30pm
Place: Edenderry Library
A showing of a collection of cyanotypes photographs from a collaborative project between local photographer Veronica Nicholson and students from Oaklands College Edenderry. Together they surveyed the trees in the public spaces in the town, creating a tree trail map, then created impressions of the trees on the trail using the 19th century cyanotype process. Veronica will give a short talk about the project at 7.30pm.
‘No wonder that tree names pop up the names of towns and townlands, including Edenderry: brow of the oakwood. It seems we've always known the importance of trees and how they are essential to our existence’.
