The infamous traditional session Piping Heaven Piping Hell is a renowned Irish music gathering founded by acclaimed piper Blackie O’Connell. Known for its electrifying atmosphere, the session showcases the rich sounds of uilleann pipes, bagpipes and some of the finest traditional musicians, making it a must-see experience for lovers of authentic Irish culture. The session will be followed by an exciting battle of five original bands organised by the Ennis Eccentric Music Society (EEMS), highlighting the incredible talent emerging from the local music scene. Competing on the night are Mr Bona, Basilisk, Fierin J, Bang! and Old Crab Road, each bringing their own unique style, energy and original sound to the stage. The evening will culminate with Pony Tramp Band, a three-piece psychedelic punk and grunge outfit renowned for their explosive live performances, infectious energy and genre-blending sound.
