Volcanos, earthquakes, flooding and natural disasters – the geophysics section of Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies researches them all!
A number of posters and interactive displays will be available to view at the venue entrance. In addition, visitors may enter in small groups for a tour. This will take approximately 30-45 minutes in total and will include a series of short taster talks on various geohazards and a viewing tour of the Irish National Seismic Network office.
Visitors will be accepted for the tours on a first come, first serve basis.
Doors: 5.30pm
The first talk starts at 6pm, and the last talk starts approximately 8.15pm.
