Description:

This Culture Night, visitors are invited to explore the cultural connections between Dublin and Berlin through a talk and live performance by author, musician, and journalist Peter Murphy.

In Dublin x Berlin: A Tale of Two Cities, Murphy Peter will explore the cultural conversation between Dublin and Berlin, with a specific interest in cabaret as the progenitor of punk.

The talk will be followed by a live performance with Murphy’s band, Cursed Murphy, which brings together iconic German influences, such as Kraftwerk, Bertolt Brecht, and Kurt Weill in a genre-bending experience of spoken word and music.

This event is part of the European Culture Trail – a EUNIC Ireland (European Union National Institutes for Culture) in cooperation with the European Commission Representation in Ireland.
