Ever wanted to try tufting a rug? Ever wanted to experience throwing pottery on a wheel? This Culture Night, you can try both at this open studio event presented by Dublin Pottery & Tufting.

There will be free demonstrations on how to use a tufting gun on a large rug, and how to wheel throw pottery. Walk around the studio, see an exhibition of rugs and pottery on display, and even try it out for yourself.

Beginners are welcome, and encouraged! At this special event, Dublin Pottery & Tufting want to make their studio open and accessible to everyone to try both tufting and wheel throwing, whether they’ve been in with us before or simply just passing by.

Designed to make the studio accessible and inviting, this special event offers a unique opportunity to discover new skills and connect with Dublin’s maker community.

Please note: this event is strictly for adults aged 18 and over, as the studio operates as a BYOB space after 17:00.

The venue is open plan with lots of overlapping noises from both the wheels and tufting guns. There are lots of LED disco lights, and bright colours that may be uncomfortable for someone struggling with sensory issues.
