Description:

Step into the world of James Joyce this Culture Night at the historic Sweny’s Pharmacy on Lincoln Place, where Leopold Bloom famously bought his lemon soap on 16 June 1904. Now in its third year, this special event invites visitors to explore Dublin as Joyce knew it and discover how the city has changed over the past century.

Through a guided tour of a carefully curated photographic exhibition, visitors will journey back to the streets, people, and places that inspired Joyce’s writing. Along the way, they will learn more about Joyce’s enduring literary legacy, his place in Irish cultural history, and the important role that Sweny’s Pharmacy continues to play in the global story of one of Ireland’s most celebrated writers.
