Open Air Concert @ Dublin Castle

Access to the concert is from the lower courtyard in Dublin Castle.

Presented by RTÉ, in partnership with the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Creative Ireland, Dublin City Council and the Office of Public Works.

Following the success of last year, RTÉ will once again capture the vibrancy of Culture Night and bring Dublin Castle to life for an evening that celebrates all aspects of our culture. The historic walls of the castle will reverberate with music, comedy, poetry and theatre.

RTÉ Radio 1’s Arena with Sean Rocks presents an open-air concert from the Upper Courtyard of Dublin Castle, broadcast live from 7pm to 10pm. This staggering event will include music, theatre, comedy and poetry all in the company of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra with conductor Gearóid Grant.

From  19.00 – 20.00

Guests include: The RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Owen Roe, Tenor Matthew Gilsenan, Dylan Coburn, Louis Lovett, Áine Cahill, Stephen James Smith,Piper David Power with Triona Marshall and Olivia O’Leary, Jerry Fish, Sonya Kelly.

From  20.00 – 21.00

Guests include: The RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Shaun Dunne Theatre piece, Daithi and Sinead White, The Strypes, UCD Choral Scholars, Liam O’Connor trad trio, San Patricio Mariachi Band.

From 21.00 – 22.00

Guests include: The RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Thomas Walsh singing from the Jungle Book, Eimear Quinn, Felispeaks, Mongoose, Dublin Youth Theatre, Matthew Gilsenan.
