DU Dance (NI) presents a series of pop-up contemporary dance performances in Saltwater Square (outside Belfast Grand Central Station) with its all male youth dance group – Belfast Boys.

Featuring performers aged 7–19 alongside a professional dance artist, this new short work celebrates creativity, confidence and connection through movement. Presented several times throughout the hour, the performance invites audiences to pause, gather and experience contemporary dance in an accessible and engaging public setting.

Belfast Boys aims to increase the visibility of boys and young men in dance, challenge stereotypes around who dance is for, and highlight the contribution of contemporary dance within Belfast’s cultural landscape. The performers meet weekly at The MAC, and Culture Night provides an exciting opportunity to share their work with new audiences from across the city.

Suitable for all ages and created specifically for Culture Night 2026, the performances offer a welcoming and family-friendly cultural experience in the heart of the city.
