"Join artist Rema Hamid for a workshop that looks at how we hold memories of where we come from culturally and connect with where we are now through sound, dance, movement, drawing and painting. Make connections with multiple places and cultures, recent and ancient, things we have forgotten or were taken from us. Thinking about songs or instruments that remind us of home (whatever that means), Rema will facilitate a series of activities in order for us to explore and connect with each other’s found memories.
This workshop continues the conversation of Rema Hamid’s Dancing Flags, an artwork comprising of five flags on Wellington Quay, flying for the week of Culture Night.
This drop-in workshop will be open 2pm–8pm and takes place in Studio 1 at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios.
All ages welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian."
