People of diverse nationalities come together to enjoy understanding each other’s customs, lives and experiences; building relationships between new and established communities. You’re welcome to bring foods that reflect your own culture: musicians’instruments and voices are welcome too!
This event continues the intercultural theme of coming together, in an environment of peer support. All ages are welcome, including children, as we mark Culture Night by celebrating our many cultures through food, music and conversation, in an atmosphere of community building and neighbourliness. We are bringing people together to help combat isolation and exclusion, by enabling people to form lasting bonds with neighbours old and new.
Le Cheile: Our Lives, Our Selves will continue over the coming months in an 8-week project (funded by Dept. Of Equality & Justice) which brings together people of diverse nationalities to increase understanding of each other’s customs, ways of living and celebration. Information on other parts of the project will be presented on the night and you’ll have opportunity to register for all the project activities. Participants are invited to bring food and / or music to share on the night. No booking is needed, and all are welcome.
