This Culture Night, Tailte Éireann invites visitors to explore more than 300 years of Irish history through a guided tour of the historic Registry of Deeds building.

Led by members of the Archives Team, the tour will introduce visitors to Tailte Éireann’s collections, which document land and property in Ireland from 1708 to the present day. Featuring property records, maps, and valuation books, the archives are an invaluable resource for family, local, social, and economic history. Visitors will also learn how to search the collections and discover some of the notable people, places, and historic signatures preserved within the records.

The tour includes access to the beautiful Registry of Deeds building, including the vault, the cantilever staircase, the Public Room with its pitch pine shelving (designed c.1829) and original parquet floors, and the second-floor Reading Room, with its views across Dublin city.
