‘thirtythree-45’ in association with Droichead Arts Centre are delighted to work with Scottish musician and sound artist ‘Orla Wren’ for Culture Night, Drogheda 2022. For this off-site exhibition entitled ‘A woven rope of woven hope’ Orla has chosen five mini films from renowned visual artists whom he has worked with over the years and who best represent his musical vision. These works will be exhibited on monitors in locations around the town.
Although these films can be enjoyed without sound, QR codes will be provided, sound tracking the films to give the viewer a chance to hear the music that inspired these works.
‘Orla Wren’ says of his music – ‘it is an intersection between modular synthesis, visual artforms, technology and science, participation through shared experience – organic connectivity rooting the human’
