Enjoy a session of relaxed, inclusive music-making with the Cork Community Gamelan– a collection of Javanese metallophones and gongs, at Hollyhill Library. Presented by Music Generation Cork City and UCC. No musical experience necessary. Free workshop for adults and teens ages 16+. Booking recommended.

Shared Memories photography exhibition
Ireland’s first analogue camera exchange, The Slow Camera Exchange, is inviting members of the public to view, explore and engage with their maiden exhibition running from the 8th-30th September. The exhibition contains three elements: The Shared Memories exhibit will feature a selection of images created with residents from the Westgate Centre; Images from members of the FProject Collective; a collection of polaroid images taken Hermann Marbe and his family. The exhibition uses cameras that were collected by artist Hermann Marbe during his lifetime.

Live concert performance of Cork 1920- A City in Flames
7pm – 8.30pm
City in flames is a recording commemorating Cork’s Contribution to the War of Independence and features original songs written by songwriters – John Murphy, Tim O’Riordan and Cliff Wedgbury. Performances on the night include Máire Ní Chéileachair, Cliff Wedgbury, Sean O’Mahony, Máire Ní Laoire, Mick Buckley and Louise Kelleher.
