Description:

This Culture Night, visitors are invited to step into the story of modern Ireland at the GPO Museum. Located in one of the country’s most significant historic buildings, the museum explores the key events that shaped Ireland’s journey to independence and beyond.

Discover the major moments of Irish history, from the Cultural Revival and the Home Rule Crisis to the 1916 Easter Rising, the Irish Civil War, and the Troubles, culminating in the peace process in Northern Ireland. Through immersive exhibitions and interactive displays, visitors can engage with the people, ideas, and events that helped shape the nation.

As part of the Culture Night programme, the evening will also feature a series of specially researched talks delivered by the museum’s expert guides, offering additional insights into Ireland’s revolutionary history.

Booking is essential as places are limited. Last admission is at 20:30.
