Visit Dublin City Library & Archive for an eclectic evening of entertainment as we celebrate Culture Night. Enjoy a mixed programme of live music, readings and performance. Short presentations will showcase the unique collections of Dublin City Archives, highlighting the heritage and history of the city of Dublin. Beidh fáilte romhat, bígí linn.

5.30pm Poetry Readings with Michael Corrigan and Frank Phelan.

Michael’s debut collection, “Deep Fried Unicorn”, was released in 2015, and some of his poems have been nominated for The Pushcart Prize (USA) and The Forward Poetry Prize (UK).
Frank Phelan is a Dublin born writer and member of Worldly Worders collective creatives. He writes in long and short form poetry and prose. Frank was included in the Mad Swirl Best of 2020 Anthology published in February 2021.

Michael and Frank have been engaged in the writing, performing and sharing of poetry for many years, and are keen to get as many people involved as possible. They will welcome contributions from the audience, so if you have a favourite poem ( your own or one by another poet ) please bring along and share on the evening.

6.30pm Dublin City Archivist Lorraine McLoughlin will showcase some of the unique collections of Dublin City Archives, highlighting the heritage and history of the city of Dublin.

7.30pm Traditional Irish music.

Seisiún Ceoil Thraidisiúnta Éireannaigh le Claire McGrattan, Luke Currivan agus Jenny Dillon. Ceol bríomhar agus spleodrach chun clár an oíche a chríochnú.
