Join us for Crossroads of Sound, a special Culture Night celebration bringing together classical music, contemporary influences and sounds from across cultures.

The evening begins with The Starlings Quartet, formed in 2025 by four Clare-based musicians and friends from Ennistymon, Corofin, Miltown Malbay and Kildysart. With roots in Ireland, France and Finland, the quartet draws on a rich mix of musical backgrounds and influences.

Their varied repertoire moves from classical favourites by Dvořák and Haydn to contemporary artists and composers including Galway-based Katharina Baker and Billie Eilish. By happy coincidence, many of their chosen pieces are inspired by birds — giving the quartet its feathered name.

United by a love of classical music and a desire to move beyond its more “stuffy” associations, The Starlings Quartet creates warm, relaxed and accessible performances for audiences of all ages.

The night concludes with Quentin Cooper and Floriane Blancke, a County Clare-based duo whose music brings together harp, guitar, piano and vocals. Drawing on their French and Peruvian roots, their original songs and instrumental pieces weave Irish traditional music with blues, rock, Latin and jazz influences.

With years of international performance and recording experience, Quentin and Floriane combine exceptional musicianship with a spirited and playful stage presence. Their performances invite audiences into an immersive musical journey that is both invigorating and soul-stirring — grounded in craft, curiosity and adventure.
