Cork - Cork City

Cork Quaker Meeting House

Exhibit and choir

Quakers have been in Cork for almost 370 years, and the Cork Quaker Meeting continues to attract those seeking an alternative approach to broadly Christian-based spirituality today.

An exhibit will provide information about Quakers in Ireland and Cork, including cultural contributions to Cork City. The current Meeting House, originally built in 1938 at the site of the peaceful 17th century Summerhill South Burial Ground, has recently been extensively renovated and extended – preserving the character of the original building while creating a light, airy space that is fully accessible to all and environmentally sustainable.

The choir Cor Lae Nua will perform two short concerts outside at 6.30pm and 7.00pm.
