Cork International Film Festival Online – Celebrates Irish Language on Film

Cork International Film Festival

Cork International Film Festival proudly presents a special online programme celebrating the Irish language on film with two shorts selected from its 66th Festival edition in 2021, followed by a filmmaker Q&A. The programme is available to watch free online from 5pm to 10pm.

The shorts programme comprises of Foxglove, directed by Michael-David McKernan, in which a young woman who left the island many years previously is summoned home and forced to face the crux of her unresolved pain: her relationship with her father.

Faitíos, directed by Martha Fitzgerald, follows two teenagers as they reluctantly execute a task in an abandoned asbestos processing plant.
