Ripple is a duet created and performed by dance artists Helga Deasy and Sara Hernandez. A lightly flowing, playfully dynamic dance inspired by the radiating energy a pebble generates when dropped in water.
A pebble dropped in water creates waves in a beautiful, undulating pattern, spreading, radiating outwards form the centre, rippling, pulsating circles that gradually return to quietude.
Two dancers meet in space, their energy connects and multiplies in an undulating, flowing, surging motion. A small movement grows, swells into a wave, lifting and dropping, expanding in space, until it ebbs away, leaving nothing but stillness.
