Before Metal: Meet, Make & Chat

Join Cork artist Hannah McGrenera for a relaxed Culture Night evening exploring the beginnings of her creative practice.

Best known for her handcrafted metalwork and jewellery, Hannah will share the quieter origins behind her work — drawing, line, ink and the mindful practice of making.

For the first time, visitors will see Hannah’s original complete line drawing from her Making Home collection, a playful yet thoughtful reflection on Irish life and the everyday moments that make a place feel like home.

Alongside the exhibition, Hannah invites visitors to slow down, pick up a pen or brush, and create their own marks, words or images inspired by home, memory and connection.

No previous experience is needed.

Enjoy a cup of tea, meet the artist, explore the work and take part in a gentle creative
activity that can be continued anywhere with simple materials.

Please note: Traditional calligraphy ink is permanent and may stain clothing, we recommend wearing older clothes or bringing an apron.
