The Contemporary Music Centre (CMC) will present a series of short live concerts in association with Kirkos as CMC’s Ensemble-in-Residence, in two separate venues throughout the evening. Each short concert will feature a world premiere performance of a new work by composers and performers who are part of the CMC Colleagues programme. In addition to these world premiere performances, Kirkos will perform other works by composers from Ireland.
These short concerts will take place in Kirkos’s space at 44 Prussia Street from 6.00pm onwards, following earlier performances at 5.00pm and 5.30pm in CMC at 19 Fishamble Street, Temple Bar. These concerts, in both venues, will be hosted at particular times specified on the link to CMC’s website below, and bookings must be made in advance for attendance at live concerts. These premises will not otherwise be open to the public, but all concerts will also be live-streamed. These concerts will be complemented by interviews by CMC’s Evonne Ferguson and Linda O’Shea Farren with performers and featured composers, which will be broadcast online between concerts. For more details, visit https://www.cmc.ie/events/2021/sep/culture-night-2021.
Booking is required for live performances (as opposed to live-streamed): Tickets for attending concerts – as capacity for these in-person concerts is very limited, ticket requests should be addressed to losheafarren@cmc.ie.
