Immerse yourself in new music from Ireland in the Contemporary Music Centre (CMC) on Culture Night as you wander through the historic building at 19 Fishamble Street at the site where Handel’s Messiah was first performed.
CMC is Ireland’s archive and resource for new music, supporting the work of composers throughout the island of Ireland. CMC documents, develops and promotes contemporary music from Ireland at home and internationally.
This Culture Night, CMC presents an evening of live performances curated by Dublin-based record label Ergodos, featuring works by composers from Ireland performed by Michelle O’Rourke (voice) and Máire Carroll (piano).
For this voice and piano recital, Garrett Sholdice and Benedict Schlepper-Connolly of Ergodos have curated a programme which spotlights Ergodos as a unique hub of creative contemporary music-making in Ireland.
Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come first-serve basis.
Performances take place at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. Each performance lasts approx. 30 minutes.
Visitors who arrive ahead of these performance times are invited to enjoy a specially curated playlist by Ergodos in the CMC Courtyard.
