Description:

Clay connections is an inclusive, ceramics event that invites people of all ages and abilities to come together through the shared experience of working with clay with Carlow artist Michelle Eustace.

The project will provide participants with an opportunity to explore the tactile and creative possibilities of clay in an open and informal environment. Using clay alongside a selection of found, natural and recycled materials, participants will be encouraged to experiment, play, make and collaborate.

Rather than focusing solely on finished objects, the emphasis of the event will be on process, participation and shared creative experience. Through handling, shaping, imprinting and assembling materials, participants will be encouraged to engage with clay as a responsive and expressive medium.

The workshop is suitable for participants of all ages and abilities, with no equipment or previous experience required.
