As usual on Culture Night in Charlie Byrne's Bookshop, we will be hosting our annual
evening of readings where we invite anybody who lives in Galway and has published a book
in the last 12 months to read from it for 5 minutes. The subject matter covered includes Galway's Cultural
and Artistic heritage, the history and poetry of the troubles, culinary history, a study of empathy, comic novels,
academic writings, crime fiction as well as the usual high standard of poetry and fiction from our very talented corps of Galway writing talent. This format gives a great snapshot of the literary and written culture at this precise moment and it provides a kind of kaleidoscope of the Galway publishing world since Culture Night last year. We start at 6.15pm sharp and run until about 9 pm. All are welcome.
