Amhráin ‘gus Áit (Songs & Place)

Online

Amhráin ‘gus Áit is an online traditional song research and performance programme to connect our songs with place as part of Oíche Chultúir 2021.

Traditional Singer Rachel Uí Fhaoláin, visual artist John Ó Faoláin agus a gclann will work together to create a short research film piece as Gaeilge with subtitles.

The film piece will take us on a turas beag to Pallas in North Wexford, focusing on the sean nós song ‘Eileanór na Rún’, it’s association with 17th Century poet & harpist Cearbhall Óg Ó Dálaigh and the song’s connections with An Phailís i Loch Garman.

Beidh na liricí amhrán le feiceáil ar an scáileán, mar sin chán leo.
