Carve a Ring from Wax: Taster Demonstration Experience

Silverworks are opening their workshops to invite the public to try their hand at the ancient skill of wax carving. Wax carving is a traditional jewellery making technique where jewellery is carved out of wax and made into a metal using moulds. On the night, you will see how wax castings are made and have a go at carving some wax pieces. There will be expert tutors on hand to explain the process and demonstrate how it's done. They will have finished silver rings that were made using the lost wax casting technique.
Wax carving is taught at Silverworks once a month on a Saturday in a 2.5-hour workshop, where you can carve your own designed ring from wax. Stop by to see how it's done!
