Did you know that this Bus Éireann station was originally a County Donegal Railways Station, opened in 1906? Up until December 31st 1959, you could have bought a ticket and travelled all over Ireland by train!  On display is a selection of photographs of our now lost Donegal railway heritage.

The inimitable Donegal, Glasgow, Galway playwright, performer, storyteller, multi-instrumentalist (many of his own making), Little John Nee, presents a series of songs and spoken word interludes on a theme of trains and railways.

The inimitable Donegal, Glasgow, Galway playwright, performer, storyteller, multi-instrumentalist (many of his own making), Little John Nee, presents a series of songs and spoken word interludes on a theme of trains and railways. Among Little John’s  best known plays are The Derry Boat, The Mothers Arms, Rural Electric, Sparkplug and most recently, Radio Rosario. He is a member of the Caledonia Highly Strung Orchestra and also of Aosdána.   

An offsite project presented by Donegal County Museum.
