Intercultural Language Service (ILS) presents Boetry in Motion, an open mic with migrant and local poets and musicians enjoying its second edition on Culture Night 2022 at the Ballybough Community Centre. We look forward to meeting you all and sharing the linguistic and cultural diversity of Dublin’s North Inner City.
Boetry in Motion is designed to raise intercultural awareness and sow solidarity by showcasing the voices of refugees sharing their poems and songs from their respective cultures. Unfortunately due to a logistical issue, this iteration of Boetry in Motion will be landlocked, taking place at Ballybough Community Centre. Members of the public are welcome to share their poems, songs or stories on the night.
Local charity, Intercultural Language Service (ILS), which has been providing free language & integration training for refugees for over six years in Ballybough, hopes this event will help raise much needed awareness, funds and volunteers to deal with the growing demand for their services. Much of the poetry and some of the music will be delivered by the students of ILS.
