Description:

Blackpool Community Centre invites you to join us for an evening of local heritage and culture through music, walking tour, language and exhibition.

Walk with local historian Diarmuid O’Donovan – “Blackpool: At Work, At Rest and At Play”.

Practice your language skills with “Gaeilge for the terrified” with Barr na gCnoc, and Ciorcal Cainte for the more experienced.

Experience music from Tomás MacCurtain Pipe Band and our local schools.

Join in Set Dancing at the Ceilí.

View Sunbeam Pattern project and “Especially Cork” cartoons by Chris Moody.

Visit the Cork City and County Archives for “Blackpool and the Northside through the years”, guided tour and exhibitions, and see what is happening at Cork Community Artlink.
