This Culture Night, visitors are invited to climb the 86 steps to the bell tower at Christ Church Cathedral for a unique behind-the-scenes experience.

Guided by one of the Cathedral’s bell-ringers, visitors will learn about the history of Christ Church’s famous bells before having the opportunity to try ringing them for themselves.

This tour takes place at 16:00 and 17:30 on Culture Night. It is suitable for visitors aged 12 and over. Flat shoes must be worn.

Please note that access to the bell tower is via a narrow spiral staircase and the tour is therefore not suitable for visitors with mobility issues, a fear of heights or claustrophobia, or those accompanied by service animals.

Maximum capacity is 24 people. Please note that admission to the Cathedral is not included as part of this tour.
