Join us for a free evening of dance, creativity and community at the Wicklow Youth Resource Centre, St. Patrick’s Road, Wicklow Town.

From 4:30–6:00pm, we’ll host a Beginner’s Youth Breaking Jam for young people aged 7 years to teenagers. This open jam welcomes both beginners and experienced dancers to explore breaking (breakdance) through cyphers, music and movement in a fun, supportive environment. The public is invited to watch, enjoy the atmosphere and experience the positive values of hip hop culture—peace, love, unity and having fun.

From 6:30–7:30pm, enjoy an informal sharing by FYI Youth Dance Company, FYI Dance Crew and Wheelie Good Dance Group. A highlight will be a new piece created by disabled artist Poppy from The Wheelie Good Dance Group, celebrating inclusive dance and creative collaboration.

This relaxed, accessible event reflects the spirit of Culture Night by bringing people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities together to experience dance as a shared cultural celebration. Everyone is welcome, whether taking part or simply enjoying the performances. Admission is free.

Ó 4.30pm go 6.00pm, beidh Jam Briseadh do Dhaoine Óga ar siúl do dhaoine idir 7 mbliana d’aois agus déagóirí. Tá fáilte roimh thosaitheoirí agus damhsóirí le taithí páirt a ghlacadh trí cheol, gluaiseacht agus ciorcail damhsa (cyphers) i dtimpeallacht chairdiúil. Tá fáilte roimh an bpobal teacht chun féachaint agus taitneamh a bhaint as luachanna dearfacha an hip-hop – síocháin, grá, aontacht agus spraoi.

Ó 6.30pm go 7.30pm, beidh léiriú neamhfhoirmiúil ó FYI Youth Dance Company, FYI Dance Crew agus Wheelie Good Dance Group. Beidh saothar nua leis an ealaíontóir faoi mhíchumas Poppy mar bhuaicphointe, ag ceiliúradh damhsa cuimsitheach.
