Studio 12 Gallery (no booking required)
The Studio 12 gallery will be open throughout the evening, where you can visit Room Innate by Backwater Moving Image Bursary recipient Danny Foley. From 6.30–7.30pm, Danny will be present in the gallery to meet visitors and share insights
into the exhibition and his wider practice.

Room Innate explores artistic play as a creative strategy for negotiating the self as shapeshifting, multifaceted and inherently vulnerable. The installation brings together black-and-white paintings on canvas, stop-motion video, re-edited archival footage
from Foley’s childhood and small-scale clay sculptures. Through making, experimentation and repetition, Foley engages with uncertainty, doubt and ambiguity rather than seeking to resolve them.

“We are delighted to welcome visitors to Wandesford Quay on Culture Night and to share what we do. Visitors will experience studio tours, exhibitions, workshops, poetry readings and more.”
