The Shackleton Museum has the only permanent exhibition in the world dedicated to the South Kildare born Polar explorer. Highlights include a 15ft scale model of the Endurance, the sledge and harness from the 1907 Nimrod expedition and an exhibition on his final journey on the Quest. We also cover exhibitions on World War I, religious diversity, the Canal and the Gordon Bennet Race of 1903. All of the above include film footage. Join us for our late opening on Culture Night.
