Discover the world of Argentine Tango through a unique immersive experience presented for Culture Night 2026.
This event offers an engaging introduction to one of Argentina’s most celebrated cultural traditions. Doors open at 5pm – Visitors will explore a photographic exhibition of authentic milongas in Buenos Aires and a short video presentation (starting at 5.15pm) tracing tango’s journey from its origins in the city’s immigrant neighbourhoods to its worldwide recognition as a living cultural expression.

The experience continues at 6pm with a 90 minutes Argentine Tango class for complete beginners. No previous dance experience or partner is required. Participants will be introduced to the fundamental elements of tango, including connection, musicality, posture, and partner communication, in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Following the class, guests are invited to experience a milonga, the social heart of Argentine Tango. Members of Ireland’s tango community will be present, creating an authentic atmosphere where visitors can watch, participate, dance, or simply enjoy the music and social interaction. Everyone is welcome.
