On Culture Night come see this talented group of young people present an Irish version of ‘Antigone’ in the wonderful setting of Maynooth Castle!
Straffan Drama Club (SDC) began as an online drama activity for young people during the COVID-19 pandemic in October 2020. In December 2021, SDC affiliated to Foróige as a special interest group. SDC meet in Straffan Community Hall. The group was founded by drama facilitators, Geraldine O'Brien and Karina Power. There are now 30 members aged 12-17 years. SDC is open to all. Workshops, plays, theatre-making, special skill training, theatre trips, summer camps and social outings are all part of the Straffan Drama Club experience.
