An evening with the Inishowen Gospel Choir & Friends

Music Kin presents a special collaboration with Inishowen Gospel Choir & Friends for Culture Night 2023.

The Inishowen Gospel Choir are an intergenerational, cross border (Derry/Donegal) choir who have been performing nationally and internationally, delighting audiences at festivals and events for over 17 years. The choir will perform a mixture of songs from their broad repertoire, including uplifting gospel music, world music, soul, funk, pop all accompanied by the choir’s groovin’ band.

Following on, a collaborative concert of original music by some of the city’s most inventive locally based artists featuring the Inishowen Gospel Choir. This performance will present original music by: Anna Nolan & Rohan Armstrong who’s compositions range from the sensitive ballads of ‘The Fuchsia Realm’ to the heavy energetic grooves of ‘Velvet Alibi’; The beautiful musical explorations of multi-instrumentalist and composer James Anderson; and the experimental, eclectic pop of the prolific Comrade Hat. All artists will perform a selection of their songs with the Inishowen Gospel Choir.
