African Irish Carnival

Longford African Network

Connolly Barracks Longford hosted what was Irelands first Irish African Carnival this time last year with a stellar lineup including Daddy Showkey, Ama Meillier and ND Posse and this year we welcome Daddy Showkey and his galala extravaganza to Longfords Blazers Nightclub to celebrate Culture Night 2022. Daddy Showkey will play alongside Four Degrees West as part of an all star lineup blending the infectious rhythms of Nigerian Dance Hall and Irish Trad-Rock.

Four Degrees West are one of the midlands busiest bands that can cater to any crowd whether its a loud, sweaty, rambunctious late night concert or if its a traditional set
delivered in their own modern style. Each competent musicians in their own fields, this collaboration can only be magical.
Showkeys fierce stage presence is electric and with his new band behind him we expect nothing less than a showstopping performance. No other African musician has made
such an impact on the world music scene since Fela Kuti.

This event blew up last year seeing unprecedented attendance and encore after encore. Showkey promised a night like no other and he came through and this year is to be no
different. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes.
