A Living History of the Castle (Enniscorthy)

Enniscorthy Castle

In association with Enniscorthy Drama Society, Enniscorthy Castle presents ‘A Living History of the Castle’ for Culture Night 2022.
Visitors to the Castle will be able to converse in person with historical residents of the Castle and Enniscorthy. Be greeted by a Norman knight guarding the gates, help the Prisoner escape the dungeon and avoid a ‘walloping’, reminisce with Josephine Shriver on raising a family in the Castle, and explore modern design with Eileen Gray.

As part of the celebrations, we will be joined here in Enniscorthy Castle by artist Padraig Sinnott.
Padraig will be bringing his work to life and discussing the processes of making his fantastic pieces. He explores and shines a light on the everyday, examines how we connect and identify with mundane objects such as cardboard boxes, hurls, toys, cups of tea and even locations like bus stops.
