Description:

Join us in Boyle Craft Shop for Culture Night to celebrate local crafters, artists and authors.
Tracy from Hazelrocks Jewellery, a Roscommon based craftsperson, will be in Boyle Craft Shop to demonstrate the art of jewellery making. Tracy will also explain the significance of the gemstones she uses in the making of Hazelrocks Jewellery.
Úna Bhán Tourism, a local community tourism centre located within Boyle Craft Shop, will be there on Culture Night to present their two publications; Mná na Buille (Women of Boyle) and Fir na Buille (Men of Boyle). These books were produced by Boyle native, Anna Robertson, to celebrate the stories and memories of the men and women of Boyle.
Alla Shadrova, a Ukrainian artist who now resides in Boyle, will exhibit ‘Variable Art’ - a new and innovative collection. Alla’s unique work can stand up as art in its own right, but also has various practical applications. On Culture Night, Alla will tell us what inspired this new collection and go through the steps leading to its creation.
Stephen Costello, a Bog Oak sculptor based in Cloonfad, County Roscommon, will showcase a unique selection of bog oak pieces inspired by ancient Irish history and mythology. Stephen will also explain how he forms his sculptures, and what it takes to turn a piece of bog oak into one of his exquisite creations.
