Description:

Discover 128 years of Galway’s film heritage, from the first film screening in 1898 to its UNESCO City of Film designation in 2014. This 10-minute audiovisual timeline celebrates the people, places, films, and organisations that have shaped Galway’s screen legacy. Projected onto the Ardán building on Culture Night, it offers a unique outdoor journey through Galway’s cinematic story.

Faigh amach faoin oidhreacht scannánaíochta 128 bliain atá ag Gaillimh, ón gcéad scannán a bhí le feiceáil in 1898 go dtí go bhfuair sí ainmniúchán UNESCO ina Cathair Scannánaíochta in 2014. Déanann an amlíne closamhairc 10 nóiméad seo ceiliúradh ar na daoine, na háiteanna, na scannáin agus na heagraíochtaí a chuir cruth ar oidhreacht scáileáin na Gaillimhe. Agus é teilgthe ar fhoirgneamh an Ardáin ar Oíche Chultúir, turas ar leith a bheidh ann amuigh faoin aer ag aithris scéal scannánaíochta na Gaillimhe.
